The ECE Graduate Committee recently approved changes to the ECE 600 Seminar Requirement, effective immediately.
*If you have completed this requirement already, the following information does NOT apply to you. Read on only if your ECE 600 requirement is incomplete.*
Following is a summary of the changes. Full text of these items will appear in the next ECE Handbook, and go.wisc.edu/ece600 will be updated once language is approved. These changes are in effect now.
- “ECE 600” is now “ECE 610” for MS students and “ECE 611” for PhD students.
- The 22 hours of required seminar/technical presentation documentation is reduced to 11 hours.
- Additional recorded lectures beyond the UW-Madison College of Engineering MediaSite are available to fulfill the requirement. These will be shared as soon as language is approved.
I will reach out again once the handbook and go.wisc.edu/ece600 are updated.
