MEDA Fall 2021 Courses

MEDA Students,

Registration for Fall classes opens on Monday.  Most MEDA students will be taking ECE 532 Matrix Methods in Machine Learning (remember this is only offered every other year), ISyE 601 Interactive Data Visualization, or ME 459 Computing Concepts for Applications in Engineering.

I am still working with the Information School on LIS 751, so if that course is of interest let me know so I can inform you when the course is built.

What is the Syllabus for LIS 751 and ISyE 601?

Attached is the Data Visualization ISyE 601 syllabus.  I think you all will really enjoy John Lee and his teaching style.

I actually don’t have a 751 syllabus but will work on getting that.  If anyone who took it last fall wants to post it, that would be helpful.

Hi Susan,

I’m trying to search for ISYE 601, but it’s not showing up under Course Search for the Fall. ISYE 602 is showing up, but it’s only showing an in-person option. Am I missing something?

Thank you for bringing the ISyE 601 issue to our attention. Once I saw Susan’s response, I went into the system to try searching as if I were a student and realized there is a bigger issue with the course. We are working on a fix now and will likely have to give you a new 5-digit code once all is settled. Thank you for your patience with this process. I will be back in touch once you can enroll.

The course number changed from ISyE 601 to ISyE 602.

I always suggest our students use the 5 digit class number to find our courses.  For the Data Vis class it is 36651.  Please see if this works.  If not please send an email to studentservices@epd.wisc.edu and they can help trouble shoot.

Sorry for the confusion on ISyE 601.  The section was somehow removed automatically from the system.

 

A new section has been built with course #36933.  You should be able to enroll now.
