      MEDA Students,

You are all invited to the Machine-Ground Interaction Consortium (MaGIC) meeting Sept 29-30 hosted by your academic advisor Dan NeGrut.  The link to register is below.

      Susan

      Dear MEDA Students,

Our lab’s 8th Machine-Ground Interaction Consortium (MaGIC) meeting, the 2020 edition, will be organized as a *virtual* (online) meeting on September 29-30. The MaGIC meeting emphasizes machine-ground interaction aspects – off-road mobility of robots and AVs, machine learning,  vehicle-terrain interaction, granular dynamics, HPC, etc. Like in years past, at the completion of the 1.5 day meeting, we will run a two day Chronotutorial. Participation in both the consortium meeting and Chrono tutorial is free (registration is still required).

      Event highlights:

Talks from experts from MIT, Georgia Tech, Northwestern University, US Army Corps of Engineers ERDC, Amazon, University of Chicago, University of Wisconsin-Madison, etc.
Chrono tutorial (September 30 – October 2) – covers PyChrono (Python interface to Chrono), Chrono::FSI (fluid-solid interaction), Chrono::Sensor (sensing simulation for robotics and AVs), SynChrono (for swarms of AVs), and Chrono::Granular
Student poster session with prizes (September 29)
