My name is Cecilia Figueroa and I’m in the Manufacturing Systems Engineering master’s program. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, moved to Madison, WI to get my bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (Go Badgers) and I now live in Rockford, IL for work. In July of 2017, I joined UTC Aerospace as an Operation’s Quality Engineer (QE) supporting the generator side of production. I quickly learned how to issue and drive corrective actions, disposition quality notifications, facilitate customer buy offs, issue purges and alerts, inspect hardware, co-build control plans, and I’m currently training to manage the material master data in our SAP software. In my free time I like reading books, going out dancing and honestly just spending time with family and friends. My goals are to sharpen my skills, and apply what we learn on the job.
