ParticipantTo Graduating MEM Students:
Congratulations! A few short years ago you made the brave decision to enter graduate studies to intentionally grow your competencies as an effective leader and manager. Congratulations on reaching the completion of this major portion of your lifelong journey of continued leadership growth!
We are looking forward to welcoming you and your guests to campus to celebrate your success.
A few key reminders re. Commencement weekend:
- At Community, see MEM Resources: Commencement & Graduation Information for links to helpful information, including schedules, maps, and Madison visitor information
- On Friday, we’ll have an informal welcome are at Lowell Center, 5-8 pm. That will be a good place for you and your guests to get any additional information you need as you arrive and connect with each other.
- On Saturday morning EPD will host a breakfast for students graduating from MEM and related online graduate engineering programs. We’ll be in the Alumni Lounge at the Pyle Center, a room with an awesome view overlooking Lake Mendota. Please plan to arrive no later than 8AM. Rumors are circulating that Bucky may even fit this event into his busy agenda for the day.
- Events later in the day include an all-campus ceremony at Camp Randall (home of the Badger football team), and a College of Engineering ceremony at the Kohl center, where you will be recognized by name as you walk across the stage in cap and gown to receive your diploma holder. Details regarding these events are in the collection of links mentioned above.
If you have any questions regarding Commencement weekend, please post them here and I or another member of the staff will be glad to help you.
On, Wisconsin!
